Dance Unites Us SUPPORT

I don't want others to know where exactly I live, how can I do that with the map location URL?

No problem - simply, pick the middle of the town you live in to represent that you're living there. If you live in a more rural area, choose a rough approximation. Just as rough as you're comfortable of sharing your living coordinations. Remember, knowing where you live should help to let others decide whether they want to contact you to connect, whether that be for their closeby pod or generally finding dancers that live close as that's one of the primary goals of Dance Unites Us.

Can I make the images visible for only specific people?

Right now, unfortunately, no. In later versions we want to add the functionality of following others and with that the ability to share your gallery with only people that follow you or that you are following

Why are you asking for my age?

According to the things that can be shown on Dance Unites Us and the different interactions that are possible and not possible on the platform, the Google PlayStore has rated us 12+. This means, we need to make sure that anyone under 12 is not able to use the platform. And additionally, we want to be able to congratulate you on your birthday :).

How can I delete my account & associated data?

We'd be very sad to see you leave the platform - but of course, we know, that sometimes, different circumstances require specific measures. So in this case, go to the three dots to the top right of your profile to get to the edit mode. Then scroll all the way to the bottom where you'll see a "Delete Account" button in red.

Please be aware that when you delete your account, all your gallery images, your biography information, your events, your entries in the service exchange and the second hand bazaar will be deleted forever. However, images on the crews you were part of, weekly challenge entries as well as weekly challenge participation pictures will remain as they're part of Dance Unites Us community experience.

If there is something you have a question about that you don't find answered in the FAQ section, please write to support@danceunites.us

What's an Artistic Name?

The passion for dancing runs very deep within a few of us - this also means giving this part of ourselves a different name (also, if you're doing this professionally, having a specific artistic name is better for separating personal from business life and for marketing purposes): the Artistic Name. This will appear in brackets next to your username on the app and you can change it as often as you'd like. If you don't have one - no worries, just leave it blank and when/if inspiration strikes, just fill it in :).

Who sees the images I upload to my gallery & how do I change it?

Per default, all the images you upload to your gallery are visible to everyone on Dance Unites Us. Nobody outside of Dance Unites Us will be able to see them. However, if you want to change that and make it visible only to you, click on the three dots on the top right of the profile and change the toggle position for the "Gallery Visibility".

How do I update my premium membership?

This depends on whether you're using Dance Unites Us on iOS or not.
For anyone on Android or the website, click on the three dots at the top right of your profile to enter into the edit mode. Then click on the "Manage Subscription". This will get you into a view of stripe where you can update your (premium) membership in any way. You can choose to become premium, you can change the time frame of your premium membership from monthly to quarteryl, to yearly and you can also completely cancel it. Also, if you're a premium member, you'll also see here when you'll be charged the next time.
